Majestic Morocco

It was fantastic. Our Director, local guides, and what we visited and saw were great.

The tour was excellent , even though the quality of some of the Riads was variable . Our guid, Ibrahim was very organised & took time to pay attention to the individual needs of group members. I would have liked the Roman ruins at Vboulis to have been included in the itinerary.

This was an amazing tour in Morocco.! The guide was very knowledgeable and took care of us if we needed banking, pharmacy etc.
The scenery was spectacular across the country, from ocean view to rolling hills, batholiths, plateaus and mountain ranges and of course the beautiful sand dunes of the Saharah desert. The culture and history were very interesting and the people, friendly. Accommodations were fantastic and diverse, from a palace in Fes to a tent camp in the desert and everything in between. The camel ride and 4×4 in the desert, so much fun. Thankyou for an exotic tour of Morocco. Thank you for giving us some amazing memories!

Very well organized. Good hotels, transportation and top notch service throughout.

Loved the contrasts between city and rural, the mountain passes stunning and vast, the people friendly. .
However older Participants must realise there are many stairs and steps in the cities and long bus trips can be tiring and take that into account when choosing this trip

Great trip. Our guide Mandi, and our driver Sala, were excellent. Helpful and friendly, and Sala was a very responsible driver.

Problems were that the aisles in the bus were very narrow, and we had problems with the seat belts which were stiff and difficult to manage.
And the Altas film tour was a complete waste of time with a disinterested guide.

Great tour with lots different experiences a and adventures. Guides very knowledgeable. Loved the sights smells and whole culture of the place. Would recommend Morroco as a must do tourist destination and Backroads for doing it

This my first tour so I am unsure what to expect in so far as accomodation. This would be my biggest issue. The quality of the accommodation was ok, however the cleanliness of some of the locations were not satisfactory.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Moroccan tour. We ended up the only two on the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the areas and worked to enrich our experience. Madhi is the best. We learned and laughed lots. We were impressed with the high standards of each of the tour experiences and guides. Majestic Morocco is truly correct - so many different landscapes and experiences.

A fabulous trip in Morocco. Our guide, Redouin, was so knowledgable, helpful and fun. All the places we stayed in were great. We were so fortunate that on our trip there were only 4 travellers including ourselves. How lucky. This made it almost like a personal tour. I would highly recommend Back Roads tours.

The tour provided an excellent insight for first time travellers to Morocco
The tour guide and driver were most accommodating and very skilful at their job
Some of the accommodation was not really up to standard with things like lack of hot water,por lighting,por location
But I can appreciate that Morocco is just getting started as a tourist destination

The total experience was great. We went places we would never have gone to alone and felt safe and in good hands.
Each eating place had good meals and clean facilities.

Loved every minute of the tour.

All very good but didn’t appreciate being put up in hotel rooms there were not structurally finished. Also need to warn people the it might be a small group tour but also a small bus and not comfortable for all particularly for this that are tall, big, have a disability.

As above, the tour organisers should have asked more questions of the people to ensure they were capable of the tour requirements, many could not cope with the requirements. I’m very disappointed.

The four stars are because our guide was amazing. Our driver also was excellent. They worked with an unrealistic schedule set by the program developers. They also dealt with some difficult clients whose abilities were not in sync with what the tour was designed for.

The reason it is 4 not 5 stars, is because the van was very cramped. The back seat was uncomfortable and we needed to share using it. A tall person could not fit or see out from the back seat. I am short and got a sore back sitting there. We traveled a lot and my recommendation is that the group be restricted in number to give more space in the van.

The visit to the Tannery was unpleasant - the staff were like vultures insistent to get a sale.

Great driver and guide and local guides at each place. Did not feel rushed and a good overview of Morocco. Comfortable places to stay.

The trip waa outstanding and we saw and did a huge amount with lots of variety.

Great to see the sahara and countryside of Morocco

I thought that cool water should have been provided at no cost . I felt that the guide was tipping at our expense, too heavily. The seating configuration in the coach was poor, no leg room in the front seats,and difficult access through the door. Air conditioning was not working most of the time

Everything was great. Accomodation was less than our normal 4 star, however this was made clear on our first night.
Our guide was terrific and very caring and accommodating to the tours needs and requests including ensuring we well informed, assisting with the language barrier, and ensuring we were into taxi to the airport. Maybe a little more information during our drives may have been helpful, however he was always happy to answer questions when asked. He went over and above to help us meals and restaurants etc that were not included. He gets 9.5/10 from us. It was also his first backroads tour.
Our driver was fantastic. Always happy, polite, great with our luggage and his driving was impeccable
Our only issue in our 10 days was our last night. It was cheap and nasty, and put a spoiler on the end of what was a great tour. The food was cafe style, little choice, no alcohol, we were in the sun and they appeared very unprepared. Definately not Backroad standard by any means. Backroads needs to seriously consider changing this destination for its final dinner.

Visited great placed but inexperienced guide

Only one really big disappointment was the farewell dinner held at a cheap back packer cafe with the choice of three super cheap food items that when plated and served weren’t enjoyable or edible and no alcohol.!
Seating hot and in the sun upstairs. Very noisy. We left without eating and went back to our hotel to eat.
Unfortunately took away from an otherwise great experience

this was an excellent price for what was provided!

Very busy pace which left little time for exploring or stopping to look at country in between planned tours and visits. Accommodation was generally fab, didn’t expect anything of super high standard it all hit the mark

The trip was excellent, and our guide Hicham, was very good and knowledgeable. We stayed at some very interesting a good hotels.

We had an excellent tour guide, Edil, and also excellent local guides. Our driver was lovely and very competent. We went to some very nice restaurants and saw some amazing sights.
