1st August 2023Review ratingThe first few days were not on the back roads but once we got off the motorways and into the Tuscan countryside things improved. Our visit to Monterosso on the Cinque Terre was spoilt by the teeming masses of tourists - both in the town and beach and also on the train back to La Spezia. Could the itinerary be changed to avoid these crowds? There was a communication problem regarding when the tour ended. In the information sent to us we were told the tour ended at 1pm in Florence but Danielle was under the impression that it was to end at 3pm. This caused some stress as we had booked a train leaving Florence at 14.28pm to Naples so that we could join the "Enchanting S Italy" tour.

27th July 2023Review ratingDaniele was friendly, knowledgeable and supportive and made sure we were looked after on this tour. We will definitely recommend this to others and consider going on other Backroads tours in the future.

20th July 2023Review ratingI thoroughly enjoyed my Tuscany tour with Back Roads Touring. Booking was simple, driver, guide and most accommodation were very good. The small group gelled together and with the enthusiasm of our guide (Daniele) made for a wonderful experience. Our driver (Romelous) kept the small coach extremely clean, air-conditioned (and it was extremely hot so that was very welcome) and safe on Tuscany's small and windy back roads.
