guide and driver were good for the tour. accommodation was very ordinary and the food on the opening night was disgusting. good coverage of the war memorials but seemed to be going around in circles and could have spent less time in the bus and more time in places such as the Manning Gate and Sir John Monash centre. Thanks

This was our third trip with Back-Roads. Again everything went really well!! Our tour leader Francis was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in doing prior research to our arrival. His work enriched our experience

What made my tour so great was the Tour Manager/ leader. I feel this man ( Paul ) was exceptional in his care and guidance. But probably one of the main things was his own interest in the subject, his knowledge and how he made this so informative but in a way that was compassionate without being sad. Many people on the tour like me had a personal reason for visiting the battlefields. The hotels were also okay , some people complained about the hotel at Amiens, I though it was quirky and the staff were interesting characters. It was in a fantastic position. In fact the hotel at Lille was almost boring because it was like a good hotel anywhere in the world. The hotel a Ypres was perfect.
