Only had 6 on the tour so experience somewhat skewed as plenty of room on the bus, no delays checking in/ out, no late comers etc Itinerary fantastic. Great tour guide and bus driver. Days were filled but at a relaxed pace. Back roads enabled the experience of local villages. Sufficient rest stops. Flexible staff.

I went along on this tour as a guide trainee for BackRoads. This is a handy tour, lovely hotels (!), and the stops are well-timed. In fairness, the opportunities to do things that are not on the schedule make these tours especially unique for the clients. I enjoyed it and I look forward to guiding this tour this summer!

Overall an excellent way to see the South of Ireland. Hotels were all very good and both Pat and Paddy very obliging and professional. Unfortunately 2 of the trip group, Andrew and Janet, started the tour with a dreadful cough and used their masks only when asked. They continued the whole trip in this way and of the 6 people we have contacted since the tour, all 6 have contracted serious symptoms, One requiring emergency hospital. As far as I know neither of the couple were spoken to by Pat. This experience has soured our memories of the trip. The sound system on the bus was also faulty.
