12th July 2023Review ratingThe choice of locations and experiences were excellent. Having a local guide made for a rich understanding of the history, culture and nature of the country and its people. The driver was excellent giving us a feeling of safety even in some trying driving conditions. the bus was comfortable and fit for purpose. However far too many of the seatbelts did not work properly. There was no first aide kit on the bus. this became an issue when a group member fell and needed attention. The accommodation was excellent and most group meals were of great quality.

18th June 2023Review ratingI would recommend and use Backroads again. Enjoyed the small bus especially as our group was not at capacity. The tour leader was quite pleasant but seemed more of a co-ordinator than a guide due to limited knowledge of the destinations with minimal language skills. Did organise impromptu group dinners that worked well and were appreciated. Unable to feel comfortable with the prescribed final day... the group outing and lunch was good but as with a previous tour, left at 2pm to fend for ourselves with arrangements and costs for transfers.
